Insights Series
In partnership with Forrester Research sponsored by EY

Tuesday, April 8th
Location TBA
Customers are using mobile, social and other digital technologies to take power from institutions -- in particular, corporations. Customers can easily discover pricing, publicly critique products they don’t like, and buy from anyone at any time anywhere. In the age of the customer, only customer-obsessed enterprises will prosper.
The featured speaker will be Peter Burris, Research Director for Forrester Research. Mr. Burris helps set the overall CIO role research agenda at Forrester, craft effective CIO research with our senior Forrester analysts, and ensure overall CIO research quality.

Industry Impact

CTA is on Capitol Hill fighting for the best interests of the technology industry. We are actively influencing and weighing in on a number of bills that will have an impact on the tech industry. These bills include:
  • (Support) House Bill 1011, concerning the Funding of Advanced Industry Economic Development Programs, to promote growth and sustainability in the Colorado advanced industries
  • (Support) Senate Bill 125, concerning the Regulation of Transportation Network Companies, the passage of this bill will set a precedence to other tech-based businesses that new regulations and forms of oversight can be quickly created when necessary
  • (Oppose) House Bill 1269, The Market Place Fairness Act, because this bill will have tremendous negative effects on small business because out-of-state retailers will potentially end their affiliation with businesses in Colorado
  • (Support) House Bill 1012, concerning Income Tax Credits that Promote investment in Colorado Advanced Industries, to incentivize Colorado investors to invest in high-tech Colorado companies. We will continue to work for you to do our part to move Colorado's tech industry forward.
