Public Policy Advocacy

At CTA, we advocate for a pro-business and technology-friendly climate. In the last few years, many of the technology related issues have gone from binary issues, such as, should we vote to extend and pay for broadband expansion, to more complex issues, like UBER and Google glass that span many agencies of the government at all levels, city, state and federal. Our elected officials jobs are getting harder each day – especially in the arena of technology and innovation.

As this environment becomes more complex, CTA serves as the lighthouse to advocate for the business issues and legislation that will move Colorado forward, to be more competitive and innovative, in how business leaders can grow and expand companies in the State.

From startup to enterprise, CTA is a resource to the industry, our elected officials, and technology leaders to help determine the right laws and policies that will best represent the community and the future of this great state. We work to continually educate government on how important the technology industry is to the economy to ensure that future legislation works in favor of technology and innovation.

CTA provides a Policy Platform for the technology industry to come together as a community in Colorado. There are many benefits to being a cohesive community, one of the most important is being a unified voice when it comes to educating policy makers on what is needed for economic growth.

CTA partners with TechAmerica's Federal Advocacy program through our TECNA membership. Their website provides information to support our federal policy efforts.

As part of our partnership with CompTIA, CTA is provided access to Engage, an online grassroots tool that supports our advocacy efforts. Engage is a powerful communications tool that serves as a hub for stakeholders in the technology industry to connect directly with policy makers in their district, stay up-to-date on the latest legislative activities and learn more about elected officials and their platforms.
