CORE Recruits New Companies for Free
Sustainability Assessment
Denver, 11.17.11 – CORE, a non-profit
organization that helps businesses understand and implement sustainability
practices, has a program called CORE
Catalyst that matches graduate students with CORE member companies to
perform baseline sustainability assessments.
CORE is looking for 30 mid-size companies with
25 or more employees located in the Front Range from Ft. Collins to Colorado
Springs to participate in these baseline assessments for 2012. The
companies selected must be willing to work with a team of MBA students that
will perform an 8-week assessment. The
baseline assessments will look at both environmental and social responsibility
factors and the project teams will make recommendations for action steps
following the assessments.
The program is intended for companies that are
committed to act on their recommendations, but have not yet done a great deal
to incorporate sustainability in their strategies.
About CORE
Sustainability
is more than a sound byte—it’s a sound business strategy that can determine
whether your business is purely surviving or truly thriving. But where to
begin? That’s where CORE comes in. CORE is a nonprofit that provides resources,
monthly educational events, networking opportunities, including the Sustainable
Opportunities Summit,
the largest business sustainability conference in Colorado.
