BOULDER - Giveo Inc., a Boulder-based software company that helps organizations create and manage "cause-related marketing campaigns," announced Wednesday it has raised $1.5 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by Westminster-based Access Venture Partners, with participation from Grotech Ventures, a Vienna, Virginia-based investment company, Sentinel Trust of Houston and several private investors, the company said in a press release announcing the fundraising.
Giveo has developed software that allows organizations to create highly personalized cause campaigns, which the company believes will build brand and customer loyalty and create strong connections between organizations, their causes and their key audiences. Since its launch in April 2010, Giveo has signed up more than 35 clients, the release said.
The $1.5 million in capital will allow Giveo to continue to develop its software.
"This funding allows us to continue to build out our offering to meet the growth we're seeing as organizations seek to embrace online and social communication channels to support cause-related initiatives," Giveo founder and chief executive Ed Messman said in the release.
