CSIA Announcement November 10, 2010 Michelle Marek Named CSIA's Membership Director
Michelle brings more than 20 years of sales/marketing experience, and has been a member of the regional technology community for more than 15 years. She will be responsible for membership retention and recruitment to move CSIA to complete the organization's important goals for 2010, set new records for 2011 and beyond, and will be engaging members across CSIA to help with new initiatives to reach out to companies who are not yet members, while also making sure our value proposition keeps our current members highly engaged.
"Michelle joins a remarkable team of staff and volunteers, and we are all so proud to have her as our newest staff member to lead efforts for membership," said Su Hawk, President, CSIA.
" Michelle’s experience level and leadership became especially important to help us accomplish our important membership goals and engage our community," Hawk continued. " Many of you know Michelle, as she is a long-time CSIA member and volunteer, one of the original co-founders of our extremely successful C-Level @ A Mile High event, and a member of our Education Committee and other events and initiatives throughout the years. Michelle is also one of our CSIA Champions, and was named a Volunteer of the Year in 2007 for her work with the C-Level event. She is passionate about the CSIA mission, the value of keeping our current members highly engaged, expanding our reach throughout the industry, as well as the important issues of STEM initiatives, workforce development and legislative advocacy for the industry," she continued.
Michelle brings more than 15 years of professional experience within the tech community, including workforce development, business development, contingent workforce recruiting, outsourced solutions, advocacy, and high growth planning.
Her expertise and acumen in working with progressive tech companies such as Jeppesen, EMC, BI, Incentra Solutions, Echostar, Boston Market, Ball Corporation and many others will lend itself well to the important role she now holds.
Her experience as a member and volunteer with CSIA are also important, not only so she can represent the value proposition CSIA brings to companies and individuals, but also the relevance in engaging our important current and new members.
