"Start ups start here" is a theme of Silicon Flatirons' 2010-11 Entrepreneurship Initiative. We are delighted to announce that new ventures will soon again start here on campus in the third annual CU New Venture Challenge ("NVC Three"). With over $25,000 in prizes, NVC Three is a collaboration between Silicon Flatirons and many academic partners across the CU-Boulder campus (see the web-site for details).

NVC Three launches with two free upcoming events: (1) a "kick-off" on Wednesday, October 27 at 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in ATLAS 100 (register here), featuring several local entrepreneurs, Professor Frank Moyes, and SFC's E.I. Director Brad Bernthal; and (2) a "pitch night" event " Wednesday, November 3 at 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. (register here), where students and faculty describe a start-up idea in 45 seconds or less. Attendees from any background interested in joining a team should attend to see if an idea is of interest.

NVC Three is a superb way to catalyze hands-on student and faculty engagement with start ups and entrepreneurship.

The CU NVC is open to any team with a team member carrying a University of Colorado ID card (student, faculty, staff). Don't have a CU ID? You can meet someone through the CU NVC events on October 27 and/or November 3.
