Sal Mahbouba, Avaya Named to CSIA Board
Sal Mahbouba, VP of Global Support Services, Avaya is named to the CSIA Board of Directors 

DENVER – July 21, 2009 – CSIA, Colorado’s Technology Association, today announced Sal Mahbouba, VP of Global Support Services at Avaya as a new member of their Board of Directors.  CSIA’s Board now has 30 members comprising Colorado technology leaders and key advisory experts. 

"We are thrilled to name Sal to our Board,” states Su Hawk, President, CSIA.  "He complements executives from other key large technology companies, like Sun, IBM, IHS and Microsoft.  The IT and technology industry are the engine for all other industries and is an ecosystem composed of everything from software entrepreneurs to executives at large tech companies.  So, it’s important to have large global companies like Avaya involved,” she continued. 

In 2008, CSIA’s Board was expanded to further represent the software, hardware, and IT leadership in the state.  In recent months, eight other members have been added including: Michael Locatis, CIO, State of Colorado; Damani Short, Immediate Past CIO, US Olympic Committee; Ned Minor, Principal, Minor & Brown; Carl Fitch, CEO, Statera; Dr. Ramat Shoureshi, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Denver; Dayle Ash, General Business Executive, Colorado, IBM;  Pete Dignan, President and Founder, ProtoTest; Michael White, Managing Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers; and Cody Daniels, Partner, KPMG. 

"With a large presence here in Colorado, I feel it is important for Avaya to support the local technology community.  I’m looking forward to serving on the Board,” explained Sal Mahbouba.  "Local talent, regulations and legislative issues are essential to support Avaya’s presence in Colorado,” Mahbouba expanded further.
