DENVER - Weds.,July 28, 2015 - The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced today that Anna Ewing will be appointed to the dual role of executive director of the Colorado Innovation Network (COIN) and chief operating officer of OEDIT, effectiveFeb. 17, 2015.

"She is an influential and versatile leader, talented with navigating change and implementing strategic objectives that support business growth and foster employee and organization effectiveness. With Anna's guidance, we will continue to accelerate the state's job growth and ensure that Colorado is focused on becoming the most innovative state in the nation."
In her role as the executive director of COIN, Ewing will lead the organization in fulfilling its mission of being a catalyst for economic prosperity through innovation by partnering with government, business and civil society to foster collaboration around global ideas, talent, capital and the entrepreneurial spirit. As OEDIT's new COO, Ewing will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations and accounting functions with the organization.

Ewing joins OEDIT from Vodafone Americas, where she served as chief financial officer and was responsible for financial oversight of the entirety of Vodafone's US business. She led the finance organization through Vodafone's disposal of its 45% interest in Verizon Wireless, the third largest deal in all of corporate history, and subsequently reorganized the operating model. Prior to Vodafone, Ewing served in progressive financial positions in several dynamic industries, including resort management at Intrawest and advertising at Omnicom Group Inc. She began her career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse LLP.

Ewing holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Baylor University, and is a certified public accountant.
