SLI Provides QA Services to the State of Washington for EMR ICD-10 Project

SLI Global Solutions is providing Quality Assurance (QA) services to the WA State Department of Social and Health Services, Behavioral Health Service and Integration, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery for their Electronic Medical Records (EMR) ICD-10 Project.
ICD-10 will bring more accurate payments for new procedures, fewer rejected claims, fewer improper claims, better understanding of new procedures, improved disease management, better understanding of health conditions and healthcare outcomes, and harmonization of disease monitoring and reporting worldwide. The state’s legacy system processes monthly payments for residential facilities providing services to over 2,400 individuals at Psychiatric Hospitals, Residential Habilitation Centers (RHCs), and the Juvenile Justice and Rehabilitation Administration. SLI is delivering QA assessments and monitoring the EMR ICD-10 implementation vendor’s project management, organization/staffing, schedule, plans and reports. SLI is also conducting assessments of stakeholder communications and the satisfaction levels of end users and project team members. SLI presents its findings and recommendations at the Technology Services Board and briefings to the Office of Chief Information Officer. This project is expected to continue into spring of 2015.

From plan design to statistical tracking of disease, these codes are a crucial component of how State agencies run their programs.”
