APEX Conference was an opportunity for technology leaders and professionals to be a part of the conversations to gain the inside edge on current trends looking ahead to 2015 and beyond. Colorado’s technology sector is large and growing. There are 10,900 technology companies in Colorado today with 146,800 employees. Across all industries, there are a reported 101,303 IT workers.

"As Colorado continues to grow its position as a driving force of technology, recognizing emerging trends means identifying strengths as well as opportunities where Colorado has room to grow," said CTA’s CEO Erik Mitisek. "This year's APEX Conference included local and national experts who are eager to collaborate, share technology developments and embrace challenges in the rapidly growing tech marketplace."

Brand DNA Showcase

CTA was pleased to introduce a new element for this year’s conference. The Brand DNA Showcase was a creative floor display intended to make and demonstrate who they are, what they do and why they matter. Each exhibitor was tasked with creating a made object to illustrate their company culture, which was displayed on a pedestal at the event. The intent was to engage conference attendees to look beyond the logo and engage more deeply with exhibitors. Brand DNA participants included Forsythe | Killer IT, HomeAdvisor, Ping Identity, Swiftpage, Synoptek, Technology Partners, Windward and Xcel Energy. Attendees were invited to vote on which exhibitor’s sculpture best represented their company culture, and the 2014 winner was ViaWest!

This event would not be possible without sponsorship support from FORTRUST, Comcast Business, ViaWest, Workday, IBM, CenturyLink, Swiftpage, Cooley, TeleTech, ChangeLabs, Gagen McDonald, PwC, Zayo Group, Xcel Energy, Davita, Cloudera, Schomp BMW, American Sentinel University, Elements/Knoll, Enzed Design and YellowDog Printing.
