Denver, CO (May 21, 2014) – OneNeck IT Solutions finalized the location of a new data center in northwest Douglas County and plans to break ground in coming weeks, the company announced Tuesday.
OneNeck, a subsidiary of Chicago-basedTelephone and Data Systems Inc. [NYSE: TDS], plans on dropping $20 million on the 35,000-square-foot “Tier 3+” data center on Concord Center Drive, south of east County Line Road and north of E-470 near south Peoria Street in unincorporated Douglas County.
The company bought formerly Englewood-based MSN Communications Inc. in a $40 million deal in October.
“We are excited to make this additional investment in the Denver area,” says Phil LaForge, president and CEO of OneNeck. “Our data center will be built to withstand natural disasters, which means area businesses can rest assured their IT infrastructure is safe, protected and always accessible in our new Tier 3+ data center.”
The center will be built in a way the company can expand it by up to 160,000 square feet.
Douglas County tossed in personal property tax rebates and construction fee waivers to entice the company to build there.
“In an effort to continue strategically supporting investing in projects that provide a strong economic foundation for Douglas County, we are proud to support OneNeck in this endeavor,” said Jill Repella, Douglas County Commissioner.Link for View Full Article
