Colorado Technology Association welcomes new board members from Comcast and Sitrion
Denver, CO (March 10, 2014) – The Colorado Technology Association (CTA) welcomes two new board members – Shawn Adamson from Comcast and J.B. Holston from Sitrion.
Shawn Adamson is the Vice President of Comcast Business for Comcast’s Mile High Region. Comcast Business provides advanced communication solutions to help organizations of all sizes meet their business objectives. Through a next-generation network that is backed by 24/7 technical support, Comcast delivers Business Internet, Ethernet, TV and a full portfolio of Voice services for cost-effective, simplified communications management. Shawn is responsible for delivering Comcast's innovative commercial solutions throughout Colorado and New Mexico. She has nearly 20 years of management experience in telecom and technology. Prior to Comcast, she served as Regional Vice President for XO Communications. Shawn has been honored and recognized for many awards including one of Utah Business Magazine's 30 Women to Watch, Trustee of the Year from Utah's Technology Industry and Technology Trailblazer from the Women Tech Awards.

J.B. Holston, Chairman of the Board of Sitrion, also joins the CTA board in 2014. J.B. has run a wide range of technology and media enterprises over the last two decades. J.B. served as founding CEO for NewsGator (now Sitrion) from 2004 through 2012. In that role, Holston was named CTA’s Technology Executive of the Year in 2010. Prior to Sitrion, Holston started and led a broad range of for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises at the locus of technology and media. Past positions include President of Ziff Davis International, where he was a member of the executive team that completed the successful LBO of the company with Forstmann, Little and subsequent sale to Softbank. In that capacity, Holston launched Yahoo! Europe as a joint venture between ZD and Yahoo!. Holston held senior executive positions at NBC and GE after starting his career in Boston with the Boston Consulting Group. J.B. has a BA and MBA from Stanford University. Holston currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Sitrion, and in addition to CTA’s board, he serves on the Board of the Colorado Innovation Network, AIIM, and other organizations.
