Colorado Technology Association announces new board leadership

Denver, CO (February 4, 2014) – The Colorado Technology Association (CTA) welcomes new board leadership for 2014. Molly Rauzi, Chief Technology Officer and Management Consultant at Gagen McDonald, will lead the organization as Board Chair in 2014 and Steve Foster, Chief Operating Officer at GTRI,was named Chair Elect for 2015.

Molly has over 20 years of experience leading large, complex organizational initiatives. In her leadership role at Gagen McDonald, Molly helps organizations create powerful, secure infrastructures to increase productivity, manage big data and drive collaboration. Her experience and insights have helped numerous organizations ready their workforces for the many changes new technologies bring.

In addition to the Colorado Technology Association board, Molly serves on several university boards and has been appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to the Information Technology Economic Development Council. Prior to joining Gagen MacDonald, Molly was the Managing Director leading the Business Advisory Services Practice in the Denver office of Grant Thornton LLP. She worked with many Fortune 500 and midmarket companies to develop innovative technology strategies to increase performance.

In 2007, Molly was appointed by then Mayor John Hickenlooper to serve as the Chief Information Officer for the City and County of Denver. While serving under Mayor Hickenlooper, she developed the City and County’s technology strategy and oversaw many of its initiatives including establishing a governance process to support a $25 million technology project portfolio, replacing the City’s sales and use tax system, modernizing the technology for the combined communications center, and providing the technology support for the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Prior to her work at the City and County of Denver, Molly served as the director of technology for Denver International Airport.

In addition to Rauzi’s leadership in 2014, the CTA board has elected Steve Foster to lead the board in 2015. Steve has over 28 years of executive and operational leadership experience that combines enterprise governance, risk and compliance expertise, and skilled knowledge regarding convergence of security and technology as well as top level consulting, investigations and training in EEO/Internal Controls related to employee misconduct.

Prior to GTRI, Steve was President and CEO of CTA. In that role, CTA was a key partner in implementing Colorado Blueprint, a statewide work plan to spur Colorado’s economy, help businesses grow and attract new jobs, and accelerate the advancement of the technology industry. Prior to his role with CTA, Steve was President and CEO of Business Controls, Inc.
