DBJ announces CIO of the Year honorees: slideshow

The Denver Business Journal announced the third annual CIO of the Year award winners at a luncheon today at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Denver.

The winners were judged and selected by Colorado's chapter of the Society for Information Management.
These awards highlight the top technology leaders locally who not only achieved their company’s goals, but also took the time to develop their teams and give back to the community.
This year's honorees are:
Enterprise — more than $500 million in revenue
Mike McClaskey, chief information officer and senior vice president, Dish Network.
Midmarket — between $50 million and $500 million in revenue
Bill Weeks, CIO, SquareTwo Financial.
Emerging Business — less than $50 million in revenue
Tom Whitcomb, chief technology officer, Ajubeo.
Public/Nonprofit — for government entities, nonprofits, foundations and public educational institutions
Kristin Russell, secretary of technology, Governor’s Office of Information Technology.
