Sanford-Burnham’s new website, developed and implemented for the medical research firm by Neudesic, received a gold Hermes Creative Award from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals in recognition of its overall design.
Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition honoring the messengers and creators of traditional and emerging media.
Sanford-Burnham’s former website was built on an aging CMS system that could not communicate with SharePoint, making it difficult to add database and calendar search capabilities, and provide team members the ability to manage the platform using familiar tools, all of which would increase the efficiency of the company’s operations and reduce costs. Sanford-Burnham began looking for a solution to deliver all these features while using as much of its existing infrastructure as possible.
Neudesic used Microsoft SharePoint to develop the new site, which has received high praise from upper management, customers and donors for its ease of navigation and simplified search function. The site’s SharePoint foundation has also simplified the way in which Sanford-Burnham’s delivery team adds, updates and deploys content between their staging and production environments.
