"Great cities attract ambitious people.” – Paul Graham
On July 13th, 2012, entrepreneurs in Denver will have the opportunity to earn an investment of$50,000 from the Denver [i4c] Campaign. After a month-long application process, 10 will be selected to pitch their companies at the Summit to a crowd of 2,000 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
After gripping your seat through The Summit,we invite you take a breath of fresh air while soaking in the Made in Denver After Party. In the open air of the Galleria, explore a showcase of Colorado-born companies while savoring unique cocktails and decadent bites, and vote for the entrepreneur you think will have the biggest impact to receive Denver’s Choice award. Also, get the party started in the middle of 14th street with a live DJ and themed cocktail lounges, and celebrate with the three winners of the 2012 Denver [i4c] Campaign and Denver’s Choice winner as they are announced live.
To qualify for a $50,000 investment and a place in the Galvanize community, entrepreneurs must have built an early stage company that improves communities through a business model that solves social or environmental problems. Winning entrepreneurs will have created an innovative model that has the potential to create a better future and better community for Denver specifically. All qualifying entrepreneurs must be Denver-based.
Structured as a community engagement platform built on a public-private partnership, the [i4c] Campaign makes strategic investments in and rallies the Denver community behind our entrepreneurs, building a better city and community in the process. The [i4c] Campaign serves as Galvanizeʼs impact investing platform with the goal of creating a better Denver community. Galvanize is a Denver-based organization that is dedicated to growing startups through capital, community, and curriculum.
Companies selected to join the 2012-2013 [i4c] Campaign cohort will receive the following:
