Diving into Software Sales Tax Issues of 2010

What changes in state tax law are possibly coming down the road?  Which changes will impact your company’s bottom line and which changes will just be a hassle?  This discussion will highlight some of the current trends in state taxation including sales and use tax, income tax, and any other state tax potentially impacting your business.  The discussion will highlight the current regulatory environment while departments of revenue look for new revenue sources. 

William Mueldener, CMI, Tax Principal, Hein & Associates
William has over 15 years of state tax and incentive consulting experience and is a Tax Principal in the Denver office of Hein & Associates LLP. He provides state and local tax consulting services to both national and international companies and specializes in state income/franchise tax, sales/use tax, transactional/excise taxes, and incentives. He also assists clients with merger and acquisition due diligence, sales/use tax refund studies, state tax planning and organizational restructuring, credit studies, incentive negotiation, and state audit controversy consulting. In addition to tax consulting, William has also served as an expert witness in court cases addressing state and local tax matters, and has lectured on state tax and incentive issues. While addressing state tax matters in a wide range of industries, William has significant experience in the energy, manufacturing, distribution, retail, and healthcare industries.
