8:30 am – 10:00 Family Coding- Fun with Raspberry Pi!
Have the family join you and learn why technology is so cool! Bring a Raspberry pi to Elitches on Aug. 7th for great family coding event. Children 6-14, along with parents can enjoy learning how to build an FM radio station and other fun projects. A list of supplies and project catalog, along with times and details will be posted to RMOUG’s website a month before the summer Quarterly education workshop.
Tentative schedule will include demonstrations from Devoxx4kids, Lady Coders and Kids DevelopIt, too!

After the park opens, RMOUG’s QEW Oracle track will offer the following Enterprise Manager sessions from Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman, the Conusulting Member of the Technical Staff, SCP Team:
Presenter: Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman
Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman is a member of the Oak Table Network and was an Oracle ACE Director until joining Oracle as the Consulting Member for the Strategic Customer Program, a specialized group of Enterprise Manager Specialists. Kellyn is known for her extensive work with Enterprise Manager 12c, its command line interface, environment optimization tuning, automation and architecture design. Her blog, http://dbakevlar.com and social media activity under her handle, DBAKevlar is well respected for her insight and content. She is the lead author on a number of technical books, hosts webinars for numerous technical groups, including All Things Oracle and has presented at Oracle Open World, HotSos, Collaborate, KSCOPE, along with other US and European conferences. Kellyn is a strong advocate for Women in Technology, (WIT) citing education on topics regarding stereotypes and presenting opportunities early as the path to overcoming challenges.

Learn how to secure sensitive data from prying eyes and how to architect a private and public cloud that meets your company’s requirements.
10:45-12:00 AWR Warehouse Mining Hands on Lab
This session is a hands on session for those that would like to learn more about AWR Warehouse mining! Learn how to answer those all important business questions for the business without having to guess or assume. Learn the value of having historical Automatic Workload History in a single repository. Kellyn Pot’Vin-Gorman will guide the attendee through each step of the process of learning how to build our consolidation roadmaps, look at host level resource usage and other uses. The attendee must provide their own laptop that meets the following requirements:
8Gb of memory
Oracle Virtualbox installed
50Gb of space to house the stand alone image
Fully charged battery
The attendee will learn about the following in this session:
The AWR Warehouse schema.
Necessary joins and how to properly query AWR data.
Base queries to begin investigation
User stories to build queries that the attendee will need to answer.
