A monthly series hosted in collaboration with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade and the Office of Information Technology that is focused on providing updates to activity, programs and trends for Colorado's technology industry. In this month's Industry Briefing, the CTA staff and Public Policy Committee will provide a Legislative preview, and discuss the issues that will directly affect the technology industry in the 2015 session.

2015 Legislative 
Session Outlook

In this month's Industry Briefing the CTA staff and Public Policy Committee will provide a Legislative preview, and discuss the issues that will directly affect the technology industry in the 2015 session. Get a look at opportunities to grow your business through effective policy.

Roberta Robinette,
President, AT&T Colorado
Roberta has more than 20 years of experience in government affairs and the telecommunications industry, serving as director of government affairs for AT&T in Colorado and Wyoming from 1998 to 2001. She has worked as a state lobbyist for RKR consulting since 2001, covering a wide-range of issues, from health care to fire safety to tax policy. 

JB Holston 
Executive Director, Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network
J.B. Holston, Executive Director of Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network, J.B. is highly active within Colorado’s entrepreneurial enterprises, leading a wide range of technology and media initiatives over the past 25 years. J.B. served as founding CEO for NewsGator (now Sitrion) from 2004 through 2012. Prior to Sitrion, Holston started and led a broad range of for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises at the locus of technology and media. 
He was recently recognized as the Bob Newman Lifetime Achievement Award winner. 

Frank Daidone 
Chief Information Officer for the City and County of Denver
Frank manages the City’s Technology Services agency and is responsible for partnering with city departments to deliver world-class customer service.A Denver resident, Daidone is a seasoned director of information technology with expertise in a diverse range of technologies within multiple industry settings. He has been successful managing networking, security, application design, quality assurance, product development, and data centers. Daidone most recently served as Chipotle Mexican Grill’s Director of IT, starting with the Colorado-based company in 2004 and helping to lead the company through years of rapid growth and change. Daidone chairs the Colorado Technology Association’s Education Committee and is an advisory board member for Regis University. He created "Project Kick-Off,” which partnered MapQuest, Noodles and Chipotle with Aurora Public Schools to create an industry-to-education mentorship program. He is also an active mentor in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado.Daidone holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Central Florida. A Microsoft certified systems engineer and database administrator, Daidone is a frequent publisher of technology articles and speaker at technology forums. Daidone will begin his work at the city on February 4, 2013.
