Women in Tech Series
Topic: "How to Swim in the Emotional Undercurrents of Your Workplace”
Emotions can be tough, and so can workplaces, put them together and you can find yourself in rough waters. One of the most paramount assets to an individual’s success in the tech workplace is emotional intelligence. In this presentation, Kris Boesch will provide specific, tangible ways to both understand as well as apply the critical dynamics of emotional intelligence mastery. You’ll also receive a lifeboat for those times you find yourself amidst sharks, stingrays and passive aggressive jellyfish. Whereas other programs miss the mark by only talking about emotional awareness, Boesch takes a deeper dive well beyond the basics. WIT members will be able to take her doable best practices and implement them within both their work and personal lives to see immediate results.
After Kris' presentation, she will interview the new Women in Tech chair, Kim Brown Wilmsen, VP of IT at ARCADIS, about how emotional intelligence principles translate into a real life IT department.
