Alison Dunnebecke, CPA, Tax Partner and National Technology Practice Leader, Hein & Associates
Alison Dunnebecke has been with Hein since 1989, providing a wide range of tax compliance and tax planning expertise, including federal and multi-state tax matters. She works closely with her clients during periods of significant change in their businesses, providing support for entity planning, transaction structuring, buy/sell agreements, and other key strategic decisions.

In her role as National Technology Practice Area Leader, Alison directs Hein’s sponsorship and membership involvement in the Colorado Technology Association (CTA), and serves on the judging panel for the association’s annual Apex Awards. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); is a past Chair and Vice Chair of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) State Taxation Committee and is currently a Liaison with the IRS for CSCPA; is the Treasurer and Advisory Board Member for Colorado Companies to Watch; and serves as the Finance Committee Chair, Executive Committee Member and a Board of Trustee member for the YMCA. Alison earned her bachelor’s of science in accounting and Master’s in Professional Accountancy from the University of Utah.

William (Bill) Mueldener, CMI, Tax Principal, Hein & Associates
William has over 15 years of state tax and incentive consulting experience and is a Tax Principal in the Denver office of Hein & Associates LLP. He provides state and local tax consulting services to both national and international companies and specializes in state income/franchise tax, sales/use tax, transactional/excise taxes, and incentives. He also assists clients with merger and acquisition due diligence, sales/use tax refund studies, state tax planning and organizational restructuring, credit studies, incentive negotiation, and state audit controversy consulting. In addition to tax consulting, William has also served as an expert witness in court cases addressing state and local tax matters, and has lectured on state tax and incentive issues. While addressing state tax matters in a wide range of industries, William has significant experience in the energy, manufacturing, distribution, retail, and healthcare industries.
