Randy Cross, Director of Data Center & Cloud Strategy, Avaya 
Randy is Director of DC Virtualization and Strategy for Avaya Networking.  He’s focused on defining the strategy for Avaya’s infrastructure in DC and Cloud models, as well as, driving key strategic alliances that complement the Avaya portfolio in creating application driven solutions.  His 16 years in the industry have included network operations, design & architecture and managed services definition.  His experience across multiple vendors has given him insight into voice, video and data applications, end devices and infrastructure across Government, Enterprise and Service Provider businesses. In his current role, Randy is working on extensions to SPB for submission to the IETF and IEEE.  He is also interacting with customers and analysts to identify and quantify key business and technological trends in IT.  Exposure to both technology and business, enables him to develop unique solutions in standards and the market with Avaya’s alliance partners.


Paul Unbehagen, Director of Portfolio Strategy & Standards, Avaya 
Paul Unbehagen is an active member of the IEEE and IETF. He has worked on the design, standardization, implementation, deployment, and support of many modern routing protocols (e.g., MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and SPB) Paul is also a co-author of IEEE 802.1aq/Shortest Path Bridging and currently has approximately 24 networking related patents. He has also participated in several IETF WGs to include IS-IS, BGP, L2VPN, and IPVPNs.Previously Paul has worked in numerous diverse networking environments to include the US Military, Bloomberg, MCI, and Nortel as well as a few startups. Paul thus has 16 years of deployment, operational, network design and architectural experience in live networks ranging from Government, Enterprise and Carrier.
