Both Angela and
her husband were laid off from their jobs during these tough economic times and
have two small children still in diapers.
Having to swallow her pride, she was forced to seek the help of housing
and food assistance.
Angela was finally able to obtain
employment but was making half what she was before being laid off and her
husband was still struggling to find a steady job. While Angela had a job that paid just above
minimum wage, even with assistance she struggled to pay the $200 dollars a
month, (almost one week worth of wages), to keep her two kids in
diapers. Even more challenging was that
her daycare center required that she bring several diapers per day, per child
as a requirement of their daycare. While Angela was
grateful for what services she could find to help her through this difficult
time, there wasn’t a resource available to help her with the high cost of
diapers, until now…Introducing
