Technology and innovation take center stage in Denver Colorado at the 2012 Colorado TechFair presented by OpenWorld Learning.
Colorado TechFair is a one-day event that will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 10am to 2:30pm at the University of Denver’s Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Managment. The TechFair will feature over 75 projects created by 1st-8th grade students from Colorado.
It will be a fantastic day for students of all ages to engage in hands-on, minds-on activities, such as Robotics, Game Design, Computer Programming, Graphic Design, Animation and much, much more.
OpenWorld Learning hosts this exciting inaugural event - the Colorado TechFair. Through the event, OpenWorld Learning strives to:
- Increase student interest, excellence, competitiveness, and participation in technology fields in the State of Colorado
- Engage corporate and community leaders in cultivating the technology skills needed to create tomorrow's innovations
- Sponsor educational outreach leading up to and during the Colorado TechFair
- Support OpenWorld Learning after-school programs and education as well as future tech fair participation both locally and nationally
Categories for competition include: programming, robotics, graphic design, animation, game design, and web design. By challenging each student to excel within this competition we are creating new and exciting opportunities that can benefit them for years to come. While we will have trophies for our top competitors, every single student that challenges themselves to participate will be a winner.
