Marc Braunstein, CEO and Co-Founder, ShopAtHome.com
Marc Braunstein is CEO and Co-Founder (along with wife Claudia) of Belcaro Group, Inc., a 23 year old direct response company that has evolved from the largest paper based catalog of catalogs (ShopAtHome Catalogs Directory) to one of the largest free coupon sites on the web (ShopAtHome.com), at over 20 million visits a month. ShopAtHome.com features coupons for thousands of online stores, printable grocery coupons, printable restaurant coupons and free samples that are available to consumers. In his spare time, Marc enjoys the great Colorado outdoors, gardening and producing his own music. He holds a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Kristi Graning, Senior Vice President, Sr Vice President, eBusiness / Emerging Technologies, RE/MAX International
Kristi Graning started with RE/MAX in 1991. She made a steady climb through the technology division, serving in various capacities until 1998, when she was named Vice President, Web Services and IT Marketing. She was promoted to her current position in August 2005. Graning is currently responsible for four distinct areas of the organization, which include Information Technology, eBusiness, Membership Services and Contract Administration, consisting of over 80 employees.
Within the IT operation, Graning oversees internal business systems development and administration, applications support and the internal technology infrastructure. Within internal business systems, Graning is responsible for the development and maintenance of the RE/MAX enterprise membership system, MATRiX, and numerous other proprietary mission-critical systems. Business intelligence and information management for membership and statistical data are all handled within the Membership Services group. Starting in August 2005, Graning led her team to an industry first… The development of a comprehensive, network of Broker IDX web sites, fully compliant with MLS policies across the country, and all displayed on www.remax.com. It has since been enhanced with the online lead-generation system, LeadStreet, which not only provides sales leads, but includes sophisticated marketing tools as well. LeadStreet has now provided more than 6 million leads to RE/MAX Sales Associates - with no referral fees. www.remax.com consistently ranks among the most visited real estate web sites. Most recently, Graning and her team re-launched the company’s worldwide Extranet which is the technical infrastructure that delivers networking opportunities and training tools to over 90,000 users. The project was released on time and under budget, and lays a foundation for future innovation and strategic enhancements surrounding communication, social media and e-business.
Greg Lems, CTO, ClickBank
Greg Lems is Chief Technology Officer at ClickBank. Lems joined ClickBank in 2005. He has a B.S.E.E. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His emphasis on close communication and agility in IT processes has brought new ClickBank functionality to market quickly. Under his direction the IT infrastructure and applications at ClickBank have grown to be scalable and reliable to meet the needs of ClickBank's ever-increasing network of affiliates and vendors. Prior to joining ClickBank, Lems was VP of Healthcare Solutions at bConnected and was responsible for the design and implementation of systems that were responsible for the processing of millions of patient records annually. Prior to that, he managed the ad serving group at Excite@Home/Matchlogic, which served over one billion internet ad transactions per day. Greg also spent seven years developing CAD/CAM software at EDS/Unigraphics.
Krista Paul, Founder, VP Marketing - UsingMiles.com
After working for Coca-Cola and Boomerang.com as a marketer, Krista founded TripDoor which became a TechStars company in 2008. While at TechStars, the company morphed to become what is UsingMiles.com today. From the University of Colorado Business School, Krista graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Matthew N. Cavarra, Of Counsel, Holland & Hart
Mr. Cavarra concentrates his practice on advising technology, communications and Internet companies with respect to the licensing, acquisition, outsourcing, development, monetization, and protection of intellectual property. He has extensive experience, both locally and globally, negotiating technology contracts and acquisitions. Mr. Cavarra has managed multiple large intellectual property acquisitions, including the acquisition and integration of $250 million in intellectual property assets from a leading telecommunications hardware and software vendor. His experience in the telecommunications, Internet and cable industries also includes negotiating licensing and outsourcing agreements in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Malaysia, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Cavarra served as Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Development of IQNavigator, a market-leading software-as-a-service company. Mr. Cavarra also served as Vice President and Chief Counsel for CSG Systems, a provider of outsourced billing, customer care, and print & mail solutions. While in these roles, Mr. Cavarra directed virtually all aspects of his client's global legal requirements and worked extensively with the company's executives to develop and execute upon domestic and international corporate growth strategies.
