Welcome from the President and CEO
2012 has been an outstanding year for the CTA community! I am very proud of the growth and transformation taking place within the Colorado technology community. We are kickin’ it and ensuring that the voice of this state’s technology community is heard on a local and national stage. We are creating conditions that will lead to innovation in our state for years to come.
I invite everyone to attend DEMOgala on October 24th-25th. I hope you will join me as I see this as an important opportunity for CTA members to come together to celebrate our industry’s accomplishments and to lay the foundation for continued growth.
The theme for this year’s DEMOgala is Velocity, and I can’t think of a more fitting word for the temperature and pulse of CTA. We are working hard to make this annual conference the best ever. A few highlights include:
- Enhanced Apex Awards Dinner on Wed, Oct 24th.A keynote address will be given by Mitra Best, Global Chief Innovation Leader for Price Waterhouse Cooper.
- DEMOgala address by Scott McNealy, Founder of Sun Microsystems and Chairman of Wayin.
- A stellar line-up of national and local speakers on relevant and timely topics in technology and business.
- New DEMO Challenge incentive competition. Watch as Colorado tech companies with groundbreaking innovation compete in live technology demonstrations for a$25,000prize.
- Not your mother’s trade show!We have gotten rid of pipe and drape and are coaching exhibitors and attendees to throw out the ties and arrive in casual, creative attire; our new open lay-out creates an interactive platform where memorable encounters and connections will be made.
- We wrap the day with ColoTechBuzz, an after-party with libations and live music from the Denver Roustabouts.
- We're psyched that DEMOgala falls within the inaugural Denver Startup Week which isa celebration of everything entrepreneurial in Denver, with tech startups on the rise!
It is our time to shine as we relentlessly pursue economic vitality and job creation. I believe that when our full community convenes for these events the spotlight will shine strongly upon us. Please get signed up and involved.
With Appreciation,
Steve Foster, President & CEO
