As the Information Technology Association in Colorado, we are the leader in uniting and growing Colorado’s information technology industry.  Learn more about CSIA >>

What does CSIA do for the industry?
CSIA works with government, regulatory, legislative, and industry leaders to influence the policy issues and initiatives to ensure the health of the business environment for software, hardware and IT services companies is strong.  We continually develop and strengthen academic-industry relationships to increase the number of students graduating in IT fields.  We engage key technology stakeholders to create stronger business environments for all levels of technology company growth (start-up, small-size, medium, large-sized, and regional operations of technology companies).  CSIA creates numerous opportunities for business-to-business relationships, unique executive insight, professional development, and targeted forums for business with other technology firms.  Learn more about the industry >>

Who can join CSIA?
Membership is open to all software, hardware, e-commerce, digital media, technology services, and technology companies and all IT departments in non-technology companies. We also offer Academic memberships and Association memberships to economic development agencies, industry trade organizations, government agencies, chambers of commerce and non-profit organizations. Business memberships are available to advisors of technology companies (such as accounting, marketing, real-estate firms, etc.).  Learn more about the different types of membership >>

Why should my company join CSIA?
Whether you are interested in expanding your business, it’s reputation, or in supporting the growth of the industry, CSIA is your association with 90% of our members focused directly in technology.  CSIA provides a variety of compelling programs and events, works on legislative and regulatory issues surrounding the technology industry here in Colorado and facilitates many opportunities to build relationships with technology leaders for business and professional growth.  Members receive great discounts or complementary tickets to events and programs, gain access to many member-only features on the website, are invited to speak as SMEs, and are invited to volunteer on key committees.  Learn more about the benefits of joining CSIA >>

If my company joins, is my entire company a member?
Yes.  When you join CSIA, you and all of your organization's employees become members, providing all employees at your company the opportunity to take advantage of all that CSIA provides.  You instantly become part of a network of today's business and technology leaders, invited to share or learn hard-won wisdom, industry best practices and competitive views.  All employees are invited to create profiles on the website, participate in groups and committees, and attend events.  Learn more about the benefits of joining CSIA >>

What networking opportunities exist at CSIA?
CSIA offers many opportunities to network and interact with industry leaders by attending many of our programs and events. You'll meet other CSIA member companies and executives that will enable you to create and expand business relationships with current and potential customers, vendors, and partners as well as gain referrals.  Though many of our monthly programs are focused on specific topics, we always provide networking before and after.  Our four signature events (C-Level @ A Mile High, Apex Awards, CSIA/CBSA Annual Summer Wine Tasting, and DEMOgala) are each great networking opportunities attracting more than 600-1,000 technology leaders from across the region at each one.  Check out the upcoming events >>

What is CSIA's relationship to the Advance Colorado Center?
CSIA is one of the founding organizations in the Advance Colorado Center.  The Advance Colorado Center is focused on tech-based economic development, with a special emphasis on collaborative initiatives to stimulate technology industries.  Other members are the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA), Colorado Manufacturing and Technology (CAMT), CORE, Colorado Photonics Association, Colorado Nanotechnology Association, Colorado Film Commission and CTEK.  CSIA, CBSA and CAMT also office together in downtown Denver, to further facilitate coordinated opportunities for members and constituents.

How is CSIA funded?
CSIA’s revenues are through three sources - membership dues, annual investors and events/event sponsorships.  CSIA’s new and long-time annual sponsors are companies who are true leaders for our industry, and they and the more than 100 volunteers allow CSIA to accomplish key initiatives each and every year.  More about our annual sponsors >>

How is your Board of Directors organized and how do you select new Board members?
CSIA’s Board of Directors represents leaders in seven key sectors (Technology Entrepreneurs, Technology Executives, Industry Advisors, Access to Capital, Government and Public Sector, Academia, and International) of the information technology industry.  In December of 2008, CSIA’s Board voted to change the bylaws to expand the number of seats from 25 to 45 to expand each sector.  Recommendations for Board nominees are reviewed by the Nominating Committee based on criteria outlined for strategic goals.  Nominees are reviewed for qualifications, involvement in CSIA and the industry as top decision makers for the sectors, and the ability to further CSIA’s mission and vision.  More about the current members of the CSIA Board of Directors >>
